About Hanfu
Hanfu is the traditional attire inherited by the Han ethnic group across successive dynasties, with a complete structural system covering styles from multiple dynasties. Tangzhuang is a specific style within the Hanfu system that follows the garment structure of the Tang Dynasty. Qipao originated in the Republican Period, adapted from the Manchu banner dress, featuring a close-fitting cut with a stand collar and frog buttons, belonging to a completely different garment system from Hanfu.
All our Hanfu pieces are carefully selected authentic styles, strictly made in accordance with the historical structures and research standards of the corresponding dynasties. We reject improperly modified versions to ensure the authenticity and structural accuracy of every garment.
Available Hanfu dynasty styles include Han-Wei, Jin, Tang, Song and Ming dynasties, covering ethereal, chivalrous, daily wear and other styles. We offer items such as Song-style ruqun, Ming-style horse-face skirts, Tang-style robes and Jin-style ethereal Hanfu.
A size chart is available on each Hanfu product detail page. You can select the size based on your actual measured dimensions in cm. If you have questions about size selection, you can contact us at any time.
Hanfu is mostly made of brocade, embroidery, silk, cotton and linen fabrics. Brocade and silk pieces are recommended for gentle hand wash or dry cleaning, avoiding vigorous rubbing. Cotton and linen pieces can be gently machine washed normally. All Hanfu should be air-dried in shade after cleaning, away from direct sunlight. Avoid compression during storage to prevent deformation or snagging of embroidery and gold-woven parts.
All Hanfu pictures are taken from actual products. We make every effort to restore the true color of the garments. However, slight color differences may exist due to varied color display on different device monitors, which is not considered a quality issue.
We do not accept returns or exchanges by default. Returns or exchanges will not be processed for wrong size selections due to personal reasons. If the received Hanfu has major quality issues, such as large-area embroidery falling off, seams opening over 5 cm, fabric holes, or shipping damage, you may submit a return or exchange application with complete supporting materials within 7 calendar days after delivery. The request will be processed only after approval.
Hanfu is shipped in special pressure-resistant and scratch-resistant packaging to properly protect the fabric, embroidery and shape of the garment, avoiding damage during transportation and ensuring intact delivery.
About Tangzhuang
Tangzhuang is a special style in the Hanfu system that focuses on the garment structure of the Tang Dynasty, strictly following the official patterns, designs and silhouette features of Tang Dynasty clothing. Hanfu is the general name for the traditional costumes of the Han nationality over successive dynasties, including styles of the Tang, Song, Ming and other dynasties. Qipao originated in the Republican Period, adapted from the Manchu banner dress, with a close-fitting cut. It belongs to a different clothing and cultural system from Hanfu, including Tangzhuang.
The core design inspiration of Tangzhuang comes from China’s Tang Dynasty. It deeply restores the structural features, pattern designs and silhouette traits of Tang Dynasty clothing, matching the aesthetic and style characteristics of Tang attire.
All our Tangzhuang are traditional styles that conform to the historical garment structure of the Tang Dynasty, with no unregulated modified designs. At the same time, we have optimized the fabric and craftsmanship for daily wear, balancing the authenticity of the costume and practicality for actual wearing.
Tangzhuang fits many wearing scenarios. Simple basic styles can be used for daily outings and casual wear. Styles with delicate patterns and formal silhouettes are suitable for festivals, cultural events, traditional ceremonies and other formal occasions.
Women’s Tangzhuang has a more body-hugging silhouette and focuses on graceful lines. Some styles have waist-cinching and slim-fit designs, with mostly delicate patterns like embroidery and flowers. Men’s Tangzhuang has a looser and more generous silhouette, focusing on wearing comfort with no excessive slim-fit designs. The patterns are also simpler, mostly solid colors or minimalist jacquard styles.
A size chart with specific data such as length, chest, waist and shoulder width in in. is provided on each Tangzhuang product detail page. You can choose the size according to your actual measured dimensions. If you have questions about size selection, you may contact us for specific size advice.
Tangzhuang mainly uses high-quality traditional fabrics such as silk, brocade, cotton and linen. Different styles are matched with corresponding fabrics according to the design style.
Tangzhuang made of silk and brocade fabrics must not be rubbed hard or exposed to direct sunlight. Gentle hand washing or professional dry cleaning is recommended. Tangzhuang made of cotton and linen fabrics can be gently machine washed normally, and it is recommended to put them in a laundry bag to avoid snagging. All Tangzhuang should be air-dried in the shade after cleaning, and avoid high-temperature ironing on embroidered or gold-woven parts.
About Qipao
Qipao originated in the Republican Period of China. It was adapted from the Manchu banner dress combined with modern aesthetics. As a representative of modern Chinese attire, it features a close-fitting cut, stand collar and frog buttons. Hanfu is the traditional costume inherited by the Han ethnic group for thousands of years, with a complete structural system covering styles from multiple dynasties. Tangzhuang is a type of attire in the Hanfu system that follows the garment structure of the Tang Dynasty. All three belong to different clothing and cultural systems.
The frog buttons of Qipao, also known as woven flower buttons, are not only practical accessories for fastening the garment but also carry auspicious blessings. Different patterns of frog buttons represent different good wishes. Piping is a classic craft of Qipao, which can not only refine the silhouette and protect the garment edges but also reflect the delicate aesthetics and symmetrical beauty of Chinese attire.
Our Qipao collection includes both traditional slim-fit styles and modern modified styles. The modified styles feature a looser silhouette with higher tolerance for different body shapes. Plus-size customers can choose the suitable size and modified Qipao according to their own measured dimensions, with no need to worry about body shape limitations.
For people under 160 cm (5’3”), short Qipao with length above the knees is recommended to flatter the body proportion. For people of medium height between 160 cm and 170 cm (5’3”-5’7”), mid-length Qipao with length at the knees or within 5 cm below the knees is suitable for most occasions. For people over 170 cm (5’7”), long Qipao with length reaching the calves is recommended to better fit the body shape and highlight the elegant style of Qipao.
The side slit height of our Qipao is designed with humanized considerations, balancing aesthetics and practicality. The regular slit height will not affect basic movements such as daily walking and going up and down stairs, allowing unrestricted movement.
Silk Qipao should be stored separately to avoid contact with sharp accessories and rough fabrics to prevent snags. When cleaning, gently hand wash in cold water with neutral detergent and avoid prolonged soaking. Air dry in the shade away from direct sunlight to effectively prevent fading. Avoid sharp objects and cosmetic stains when wearing.
