Care Instructions

Velvet cannot be machine washed! Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent. Gently rub the fabric a few times without vigorous rubbing (which can flatten the pile and make it look worn). Do not wring dry; gently squeeze out excess water.

Avoid bleach (which fades colors and stiffens the velvet) and direct sunlight (which causes uneven fading). Lay flat to dry in the shade, then gently smooth the pile with your hands once dry.

For everyday dust, simply brush off gently with a soft-bristled brush (like a makeup brush). Avoid frequent washing. When storing, hang on a hanger (do not fold to prevent creases), place in a dust bag, and keep away from sharp objects like keys or necklaces to prevent snagging.
